Abstract

781,322. Siphon heads. AICART, E. B. Feb. 21, 1955 [Oct. 12, 1954], No. 5178/55. Class 14 (1). A siphon head comprises a spring-loaded valve 23 and a seating member 12 secured by its screw-threaded skirt 14 and a fixing nut 15 to the neck of the siphon body, the seating member 12 having an inner screw-threaded projection 17 on or in which is threaded a valve casing 19 permitting regulation of the loading of the valve spring 25 and the seating member 12 having also an external projection 26 engaging in a recess 30 of a detachable nozzle portion 28 either by means of screw threads as shown, or by a bayonet-joint. The nozzle portion carries a spring-loaded rod 34 and lever 36 for operating the valve. An aperture 21 is formed in the seating member and terminates in the valve seat proper 22, the disc valve 23 having an upper stem extending in the aperture 21 and a lower stem guiding the spring 25. Adjustment of the loading of the spring 25 is effected by adjustment of the screw-thread connection of the parts 17, 19.
