Abstract

953,257. Spray carburetters. OHLSSON & RICE Inc. March 27, 1962 [July 3, 1961], No. 11660/62. Heading F1B. A carburetter nozzle 20 projects into a recess 50 in the throttle valve 26 when the valve is closed, the idling air flowing through the gap 52 between the throttle recess and nozzle drawing the idling fuel through the main jet 24 which serves for idling and normal operations. The fuel flows from a regulator 14 past a needle valve 16 to the main jet 24. The throttle disc 26 slots into a recess 34 in the spindle 27, the ends 43 of the divided spindle being turned outwardly to clamp the operating lever 40 in position. The valve is urged open by spring 35 and closed by operating means acting on lever 40. A governor operated rod 45 also engages in the outer end of recess 34. Specification 940,995 is referred to.
