Abstract

707,019. Spray carburetters. POTHIER. A. C. Feb. 18, 1952, No. 4237/52. Class 7(3) A throttle valve 25 controlling the flow through an induction conduit 21 is rotated by means of a sleeve 48 frictionally connected to allow for relative adjustment. by a split collar 45 to a needle valve 41 fitted in a fuel supply conduit 14 so as to control the flow through a radial opening 40 into the conduit 21, a screw thread 43 on the valve causing axial movement thereof whereby flow of air and fuel are simultaneously controlled. In the closed position of the valve 25, recesses 28, 29 formed by a reamer passed through the bore at an angle of 15 degrees allow passage of air for idling. An attachment screw 35 for a cover 35<1> co-operates with arms 36, 37 and an adjusting screw 38 to determine the extreme positions of the valve 25.
