Abstract

689,119. Sprinkler taps. BOURNER & CO. (ENGINEERS), Ltd., F. H., and BOURNER, F. H. Sept. 3, 1951 [Sept. 20, 1950], No. 23050/50. Class 135. A sprinkler tap has. in addition to a valve member or jumper 16 adapted to co-operate with a valve seat 14, a readily accessible adjusting screw 29 to regulate the inlet passage 27 of the tap. The screw 29 has a cover cap 30. The tap has an internally screwed sleeve 21 screwed on to a spigot body 12. The sleeve is formed or fitted with a sprinkler disc 22 at its lower end and is formed with a capstan handle 24 at its upper end. The sleeve 21 supports a fluted member 18 in which the stem of the jumper is guided. According to the Provisional Specification, the sprinkler proper may have a screw engagement with the sleeve 21. The Provisional Specification refers to Specification 599,386. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 599,386.
