Abstract
780,153. Fuel injectors. TESSIER, G. Nov. 30, 1955 [Dec. 21, 1954], No. 34261/55. Class 7(3) In a fuel injector having a spring- loaded valve 2 lifted by the fuel pressure acting upon a piston portion 3, the cylinder in which the piston 3 slides is free of contact with the injector body along a major portion of its length and is carried by the upper flanged end 1b of the nozzle member 1 in which the valve 2 is received with substantial clearance, the upper face of the flange 1b being provided with an annular groove 1c which registers with a fuel supply passage 15 in the body member 6 and is connected with the space around the valve 2 by a plurality of equally spaced oblique passages 1d. The valve 2 is loaded by a spring acting through disc 8, a fuel leakage escape passage 11 being provided in a guide rod 10 for the spring 7. A fuel filter 13 is provided in the inlet passage 12.
