Abstract

779,715. Collapsible boxes. McCLELLAND, S., and WILLIAMSON, R. J. Oct. 13. 1955 [March 22, 1955], No. 8255/55. Class 18. A container comprises a base 1 with side and end walls 6, 7, 8, 9 hinged thereto adapted to collapse outwardly and inwardly and a lid 10 to close the erected container and to fit on to the base 1 when the walls are collapsed inwardly. When erected flanges 12 on the sides 8, 9 prevent the ends 6, 7 falling inwards and flanges 11 of the lid 10 prevent the ends and sides falling outwards. The side hinge 3A is higher than the other side hinge 2A which is higher than the end hinges 4A and 5A which are equal to or higher than the hinge 17 of a central partition 14.
