Abstract
902,823. Pallets for handling loads. TRAPP, C. A. Jan. 29, 1959 [Jan. 30, 1958; Dec. 11, 1958], No. 3215/59. Class 78 (4). [Also in Group XVII] A collapsible frame adapted for mounting upon a base, which may be a similar frame, to form a container therewith comprises walls 11, 13, 15, 17, Fig. 2, connected by hinge-plates 19, 21, 23, 25, the walls 15, 17 each comprising two sections which are connected by means of hinges 41 offset from the centre of the wall in order that when the walls 15, 17 are folded inwardly to collapse the frame, the corner hinge plates do not abut, Fig. 7 (not shown). As shown in Fig. 2, the walls 15, 17 each comprise sections 35, 37 connected by a hinge 41, a third section 39 being provided, integral with the section 37, to overlie the section 35 when the frame is in its operative position. In a modification, the folding walls are formed as shown in Fig. 8, and the hinge 41 is offset from the centre of the wall.
