Abstract

796,695. Box pallets for handling loads. SOC. ANON. DE LA PAPETERIE DE CHATEAUNEUF-LA-FORET. June 28, 1955 [July 30, 1954], No. 18684/55. Class 78 (4). The upper platform 7 of a pallet has two hinged extensions 8, 9 adapted to pass into the open bottom of a cardboard box so that they can be folded down to overlie part of the bottom and secure the pallet below the box. The pallet illustrated comprises platforms 7, 5 of corrugated cardboard spaced by legs 6 formed by rolling corrugated cardboard into a solid cylinder. The extensions 8, 9 are passed between the walls of a box and bottom flaps 2 hinged to the end walls. The extensions 8, 9 are then folded down and bottom flaps 3, 4 hinged to the side walls are folded over them. The extensions 8, 9 are preferably pliable to facilitatet heir introduction into the box and they are preferably of such length that they do not overlap. Specification 638,033 is referred to.
