Abstract

674,881. Load-handling pallets. ADDISONSEMMES CORPORATION. March 22. 1949. No. 7819/49. Class 78 (iv). [Also in Group <SP>XVII]</SP> A combined box and load handling pallet comprises platform having sides hinged thereto, the sides carrying securing flaps 20, 21 and top closure flaps 19. The platform has members 13 secured to its underside to permit raising by a lift fork. The box and pallet are wholly constructed of paper stock, corrugated cardboard or the like. the members 13 being spirally wound strips. The members 13 may be of hollow section to accommodate parts of the load e.g. the legs of a sofa, which are passed through holes in the The lower ends of the members 13 may he sealed by a sheet, of the same width and length as the platform, being secured to them. The sides and flaps are foldable flat onto the platform. U.K. Specifications 620,701 and 638,033 are referred to.
