Abstract
778,322. Concrete &c. mixing machines. STOTHERT & PITT, Ltd. Feb. 23, 1956 [Feb. 25, 1955], No. 5771/55. Class 86 In a free-fall concrete, &c. mixing machine comprising a rotatable drum D, of the non-tilting or tilting type, the buckets and/or blades 1 mounted within the drum are made of thick sheet rubber or like material so that they are flexed continuously during the mixing operation to prevent deposition of concrete thereon. Fig. 2 shows a non-tilting drum with the buckets secured to L-shaped cleats 5 by bolts 8 having associated collars 6, Fig. 3, with flanges or washers 7; preferably there are four-securing assemblies to each bucket; one along the two side walls 3, 4 of the bucket and two along the back wall 2.
