The drum 3 of a rotary tilting drum mixer has two fixed mixing blades each consisting of two parallel flat bars 1 formed in V-shape with a shorter arm making an acute angle with the bottom, and a longer arm making an acute angle with the axis, of the drum. The apex 5 of the V lies in the lower third of the drum and there may be a kink in the longer arm as shown in Fig. 1.
