Abstract

776,958. Walls; roofs. ILKE, F. E. M., and ANDERSON, J. P. June 10, 1955, No. 16839/55. Class 20(4) Wall panels P, Fig. 4, are held in the spaced upright channels formed by inside and outside T-section metal bars 1 spaced and united at intervals by plates 4, Fig. 2, fixed to their webs 2, the uprights carrying bolts 16 which pass through apertures in cross strips 14 uniting L-section bars 12. The plates 4 are welded at 5 to the webs 2 and the upper plates 4 carry the bolts 16 which secure girders 22 forming a flat roof or floor. The lower end of each upright has a footplate 6, Fig. 3, bolted at 8 to an anchor plate 9 beneath angle irons 10 which are embedded in the footing. In a modification the angle irons 10 are secured by a rag bolt and anchor plate to the concrete foundation. A modified form of upright is employed at a corner, Fig. 4.
