Abstract

1,129,523. Jigs for buildings; wall shuttering. M. FORKIN and P. FORKIN. 15 Oct., 1965 [13 Nov., 1964; 12 May, 1965], No. 43742/65. Heading E1S. A building is constructed by erecting on the foundation a jig comprising a collapsible box shaped steel framework of vertical and horizontal members on which floor or roof joists are placed, the walls built against the framework and the load of the joists then transferred to the walls. The framework is of tubes of square section connected by welded and bolted brackets. The uprights are in sections of one storey spigotted in the uprights of the adjacent storey. The roof is built first to protect the workmen. A door frame to be built into the wall is supported by a removable auxiliary frame on the framework, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown). The walls are built round window frames mounted on the framework. The walls may be of concrete cast in shuttering of vertical panels connected by walings, the inner shuttering being mounted on the framework and the outer connected to it by ties and distance pieces.
