Abstract

A vertical stack of roof of floor panels is located via the junctions between vertical pillars used at the corners of each panel. The lower concrete pillar is fitted on its top end by an anchor plate contg. four anchor rods cast into the pillar. A similar anchor plate is used on the bottom end of the next highest concrete pillar. The heads of the eight anchor rods extend into four tubes filled with concrete. Each of the four tubes has two anchor bolts welded onto its periphery and each pair of anchor bolts is used to lock a corner of four panels located at their corners between the vertical pillars. The panels are pref. also secured via L-shaped beams surrounding the four tubes and locked in place via mortar and/or tie rods. The system can be used in the construction of multi-storey buildings.
