Class 137 In a ventilator comprising nested spaced flared conduits 1, 2, 3, 4, the amount of air passing is controlled by a number of parallel blades 16 tiltable about spaced parallel axes 22 extending along the length of the blades. The pivots are connected to the blades by lugs 23 and are carried by a cross-piece 21 which is moved up and down by rotation of a non-axially movable screw 19 mounted in a support 17 secured to stay members 13 of the conduits. Links 27 are also provided between the support 17 and other lugs 26 on the blades 16. The conduit 2 is adjustable vertically relatively to the other conduits.
