Abstract
775,116. Manure distributers. PROGRESS TOPDRESSERS, Ltd. Aug. 4, 1954, No. 22597/54. Class 6(1). A fertilizer distributer comprises a continuous annular holder 3 completely surrounding a supporting tractor 1 and having a movable bottom 7 and side 6 which can be raised in unison so that the material in the holder is maintained in contact with a conveyer 18 acting on the upper surface of the material to convey it to a distributer 30. The side 6 and base 7 are integral and are raised relatively to the fixed side 5 by cables 17 attached to cams 16 fixed to linkwork 10, 11 which is movable by the piston 9 of a hydraulic ram 8. The endless chainconveyer 18 carries scrapers 19 and hangs from a rail 27 to convey the upper layer of material around to the rear where it falls on to a vaned-disc spreader 30, the spreader and conveyer being driven through gearing 20, from a power take-off shaft 21.
