A wrist watch bracelet comprises a clamping spring 1 providing a pair of clamping arms which embrace the wrist of the wearer and are enclosed in a leather or synthetic plastic sheath consisting of inner and outer portions 2, 3, respectively, the watch 10 being fastened to the bracelet by detachable fastening means 4 attached by means of elastically extensible elements 6 either directly to the respective clamping arms or to the covering or sheath enclosing them. As shown in Fig. 2 the detachable fastening means 4 consist of sheet metal hooks covered by leather or plastic 5 and connected by rubber strips 6 to the inside faces of the parts 2 of the sheath, to which the rubber strip is sewn. The hooks 4 are inserted upwardly through transverse slits 9 in the parts 2 of the sheath and engaged over the adjacent transverse fastening members 11 on the watch case, the rubber 6 being tensioned in so doing. Fig. 3 shows one clamping arm forming part of the clamping spring 1 provided with teeth 8 which engage and secure an end of a rubber strip 6, the other end of the rubber strip being attached to a covered hook 4. Alternatively the rubber may be vulcanised to the spring 1. The transverse slits 9 in the parts of the sheath covering the two clamping arms are connected by a longitudinal slit 12 to enable the arms to be inserted within the sheath, the slit 12 being subsequently covered and sealed. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown) for watches having a transversely apertured lug at two opposite sides an elastic cord extending through a slit in the covering sheath of each clamping arm is provided with a barbed end which is inserted through the apertured lug and re-inserted within the pocket formed by the slit.
