[Class 43] A strap 1, of leather or other flexible material, attached to the lug of a watch by means of a metal plate 2, having at one end a slot 3 through which one end of the strap is threaded before being folded back and secured, e.g. by stitching, to the main part of the strap, the other end 5 of the plate 2 being folded right round the watch lug so that its end comes into contact with the strap, is characterised in that the plate 2 is of the same width as the strap 1, which has to be arched to allow its passage through the slot 3, the strap being subsequently flattened so that the plate portions 4 at the ends of the slot are pressed into the sides of the strap.
