Abstract

A liquid composition for cleansing windscreens comprises an aqueous solution of at least 5 per cent by volume of iso-propyl alcohol, based on the total composition, together with minor amounts of a synthetic detergent and a corrosion inhibitor. A preferred composition is 10 per cent isopropyl alcohol, 0.5 per cent "Comprox" (Registered Trade Mark), 0.2 per cent triethanolamine, and 89.3 per cent water. The composition may be applied either by an installed windscreen washer or by a handheld spray.
