Abstract
771,928. Warp stop motion for looms. BAUGNIES, E. July 23, 1954 [July 28, 1953], No. 21544/54. Class 142 (2). A warp stop motion mounted between the shedding mechanism 14 and the slay 12 comprises droppers having an eye 5 for the warp thread, a long eye 6 embracing a guide bar 18, an upper extension 7 long enough to penetrate the top shed line when the dropper is at the bottom shed line, and an extension 8 to make electrical contact with a member 19 to stop the loom if the warp thread breaks. To prevent accumulation of fluff, the member 19 is a rotating roller of skeleton construction. The droppers can be used in a mechanical stop motion, the guide bars 18 being replaced by reciprocating notched bars.
