Abstract

769,230. Refrigerating; heat pumps; hot water supply systems. BRENTFORD ELECTRIC Ltd. May 13, 1955 [Dec. 17, 1954], No. 36649/54. Addition to 767,847. Classes 29 and 64(1) In the heat pump of the parent Specification the valve means consists of a flexible metal bellows 14 filled with acetone or similar liquid, to which is attached a piston 15 normally closing a port 16 disposed in a housing through which the warm water from tank 2 circulates. On reaching a predetermined temperature the water causes the bellows to expand, moving piston 15 and opening port 16. The water is then circulated to a useful heat dissipator 10 such as a towel rail, radiator or the like.
