934,114. Refrigerating; heat pumps; hotwater boilers. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. April 17, 1961 [April 16, 1960], No. 13863/61. Classes 29 and 64 (1). The feed to a hot-water supply tank 11 is pre-heated by thermoelectric heat pumps cooling a refrigerator 2. As shown, the refrigerator is cooled by a thermoelectric assembly 1, the hot junctions of which are cooled by liquid circulating in a pipe loop A. This liquid gives up its heat to the cold junctions of two further thermoelectric assemblies 5, 7, the hot junctions of which heat water flowing to the tank 11 through pipe B. The tank may be electrically heated. Assemblies 5, 7 may be replaced by separate thermoelectric units distributed along the juxtaposed lengths of pipes A, B.
