[Also in Groups XI and XXIX] In a spraying apparatus in which a liquid in a tank is heated by an electric resistance element (see Group XXIX), the element 6, Fig. 1, is supplied with power by a cable 25, the conductors of which are connected to contact bushes 19 and 24 secured within a detachable insulating cap 20. The head 23 of a metallic pin 22 provides a plug connection with the bush 24, and a metallic screw plug 17 within a hollow metallic bolt 8 contacts the bush 19, and the ends of the heating element are connected respectively with the pin 22 and bolt 8. In an alternative construction a contact pin is centrally positioned within a hollow cylindrical contact, and is baked into an insulating ceramic, and the cylindrical contact is detachably secured in the tank opening. The lower end of the pin engages a spring contact connected to one end of the heating element, and the lower end of the cylindrical contact engages a hollow bolt which is connected to the other end of the element. Alternatively, a contact pin and a hollow concentric cylindrical contact are baked in an insulant within a cylindrical metal bush screwed into the tank opening.
