Abstract

765,826. Wringer mops. AMERICANMARIETTA CO. March 16, 1955, No. 7732/55. Class 19 A sponge mop comprises a sponge 10 which is attached to a rod 12 by means - of a retainer plate 11 embedded in it. The rod 12 passes through a handle 13 and has a knob 14 attached to its remote end. The end 16 of the handle 13 is squared and supports a perforated conical wringer 17, which encloses the rear of the sponge 10. The sponge may be wrung, either by forcing the wringer 17 down over it, or by pulling up the plate 11 by means of the knob 14. In a simplified embodiment the knob 14 is omitted, the rod 12 then being fixed to the handle 13.
