Abstract

765,569. Electromagnetic relays. FER. GUSON RADIO CORPORATION, Ltd. Feb. 1, 1955 [Feb. 2, 1954], No. 3139/54. Class 38(5) Energization of the coil 10 causes an armature (not shown) to lift a lever 12 and move a pin 13 slidable in the magnet yoke 11 and thereby raise an insulating bar 14 having adjustable studs 15 engaging, respectively, a pair of contact bars 16, 17 pivoted at 20, 21. The bars 16, 17 tilt against the bias of springs 35 so that contacts 19, 28 are broken and contacts 18, 27 made. To provide a wiping engagement between each of the four contact pairs, each fixed contact, e.g. contact 27 is carried by -an L-shaped bracket 29 having an angle slightly less than a right angle, and the bracket 29 is rockably mounted on a right-angled bracket 30 by a pair of bolts 31 and compression springs '32, an adjusting screw 33 threaded in the bracket 30 acting on the bracket 29 to determine the disengaged position of the contact 27.
