Abstract

945,100. Electromagnetic relays. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. July 7, 1961 [July 8, 1960], No. 24661/61. Heading H2B. A polarised relay has an armature 1 which is movable into any one of three stable positions, a central position where it is maintained by two sets of springs 6-18, and two end positions where it is maintained by the polarising flux. A pair of magnets 21 provide the polarising flux and an electromagnet coil 28 the actuating flux. In the central position contacts 2 carried by the armature 1 bridge contacts 4 carried by the springs 6. Each spring 6 is adjustable by a screw 15 and has a slot 26 in its upper end in which the adjustable spring 18 is located. Each spring 6 follows the armature from the centre for a distance a which is determined by adjusting the position of spring 18 in slot 26. In each end position bridging contacts 2, 3 carried by the armature engage resilient contact 4 and a fixed adjustable contact 5.
