Abstract

1368898 Polarized balanced armature relays MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC WORKS Ltd 24 Aug 1972 [30 Sept 1971] 39423/72 Heading H1N A polarized balanced armature relay comprises a magnetic base 1 with projecting polepieces 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and having thereon a coil bobbin 12 which surrounds a pivoted armature core 5 mounted on a pin 9 and co-operating with the polepieces 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and the ends 16<SP>1</SP> of a yoke 16 arranged with the permanent magnet 16 between the yoke 16 and hose 1. A non-magnetic frame 20 is secured to the base by feet 22 to retain the yoke bobbin and permanent magnet and has spring arms 21, 21 which can bear on glass insulators 8 on the ends of armature extensions 7. Movable contact springs 18, 18<SP>1</SP> pass between the insulators 8 to move therewith and co-operate with fixed contacts 17, 17<SP>1</SP> on insulated terminals 3. The bias of the springs 21, 21<SP>1</SP> can be such as to provide a one side stable, bi-stable or centre stable relay.
