764,231. Axle-box sealing devices. SOC. GENERALE ISOTHERMOS. Jan. 24, 1955 [Jan. 22, 1954], No. 2075/55. Class 12 (1). Packing for the axle box 7 of a railway vehicle is formed by an elastic ring comprising a central portion 2 shaped as a sleeve, a peripheral collar 1, and an intermediate grooved portion 3 with radially extending ribs 10. The collar 1 is bolted to the box 7 and the sleeve 2 contacts a member 5 secured to the axle 6.
