760,212. Cycle wheel axle mountings. BENNETT, J. E. Aug. 7, 1951 [Oct. 4, 1950], No. 24202/50. Class 136(2). [Also in Group XXV] In a bicycle road wheel and spindle assembly of the kind wherein the wheel is located upon the spindle by tapped adjustable cones 2 each of which is secured in adjusted position by a locknut 3 screwed on the spindle 1, the end face of each lock nut 3 which is positioned against an arm 4 of the wheel fork is provided with an annular concentric shoulder 9 of uniform depth, the end face of the shoulder being formed with a series of radial V-section teeth 8 adapted to penetrate into the inner face of the fork arm as a corresponding securing nut 6 is tightened upon the spindle against the outer face of the arm.
