759,554. Transformers. KEROES, H. I. May 12, 1954, No. 13905/54. Class 38 (2). An audio-frequency transformer capable of providing undistorted response over a wide band width and of selectively matching loads of varying impedance comprises a primary winding divided into a number of sections P<SP>1</SP>, p<SP>2</SP>, P<SP>3</SP>, P<SP>4</SP> pairs of which are connected in series, and a secondary winding in three sections S<SP>1</SP>, S<SP>2</SP> and S<SP>3</SP>, S<SP>4</SP>, sections S<SP>1</SP> and S<SP>4</SP> of which have equal numbers of turns and are connected in parallel whilst section S<SP>2</SP> and S3 is bifilarly wound and re-entrantly connected in series, sections S<SP>2</SP>, S<SP>3</SP> also being connected in series with sections S<SP>1</SP>, S<SP>4</SP> taken in parallel. The secondary sections are interposed between the primary sections to reduce the leakage reactance to a minimum.
