Class 110(3) [Also in Group XXXIII] In jet propulsion plant having a propulsion nozzle 1 and a grid of blades 3 through which the jet may be deflected symmetrically or assymetrically, an annular collector ring 4 is positioned downstream of the blades 3 and formed with an orifice 5 through which an auxiliary stream of fluid may be directed under the control of a valve 6 in the direction f, f<SP>1</SP> thereby causing some or all of the stream F to be deflected in the direction F<SP>1</SP>. Instead of being mounted outside the crosssection of the main jet stream, the deflecting device may be located within the jet stream in a central bullet, and it may be associated with additional nozzle means upstream of the blades 3 for varying the effective cross-sectional area of the main jet.
