756,032. Indicating liquid levels. MALONE INSTRUMENT CO., Ltd., and MALONE, R. Jan. 6, 1954 [Jan. 7, 1953], No. 459/53. Class 123(1) The liquid level in a steam boiler is indicated by a gauge glass 12 which is associated with a stablilizing vessel 9 connected by short tubes 10 to the upper and lower cocks 7, 8 of the normal glass tube gauge, the lower tube 10 having such a relatively small cross-sectional area as to restrict the flow of liquid between the boiler and stabilizing vessel. The gauge glass 12 is mounted between brackets 11 which extend from the ends of the vessel 9 and have ducts 13 opening into the latter, and a drain cock 14 is preferably fitted on the lower bracket 11. Two slightly modified constructions are described.
