Abstract

755,355. Scraper conveyers. STAMICARBON N.V. April 30, 1954 [May 1, 1953], No. 12672/54. Class 78 (1). The driving head of an endless double chain scraper conveyer has its side walls 7 rigidly interconnected by vertically spaced lateral girders 9, 10 of box section which define between them a passage for the scrapers travelling out of the head. Twin driving motors 1, intermediate gearing 2 and couplings 3 are mounted on the side plates 7 and supported by legs 11. One driving motor also drives a cable drum 5 for hauling a winning machine along the conveyer framework. A driving head including twin motors may be provided at each end of the conveyer.
