Abstract

750,656. Spray-producers. KOPPERS CO., Inc. April 5, 1954 [May 4, 1953], No. 9913/54. Class 69 (3). A spray nozzle 16, Fig. 3, contains a detachable spiral vaned insert 19 which is removed from the rear end of the pipe 15 to which the nozzle is attached by means of a tool, Fig. 4. The tool consists of a handle 26, 28 and a number of extensions 27 to the end of which is screwed a circular head 29. Circumferentially spaced hooks 30 depend from the head and the ends 34 of the hooks engage passages 31 in the vanes 22 which radiate from a cylindrical part 20. A number of pipes 15, each with a nozzle as described, may be secured to a common feed-pipe, and the tool is inserted into the rear ends of the pipes to remove the inserts for, cleaning &c.
