Abstract
747,530. Cooling cylinders. STIHL, A. April 12, 1954, No. 10635/54. Class 7(2) The casing 8 of a fan 10 parallel to and belt-driven from the crankshaft of a single-cylinder engine is secured directly to a machined lateral surface 7 of the cylinder head 1, cooling air drawn through a casing entry duct 15 with fixed vanes 16 being supplied to head and liner fins 2, 4 and, as shown, escaping through holes in a shroud 19. The duct 15 forms a cover 17 for a belt pulley 13 cast into the fan 10.
