Abstract
827,640. Accessory arrangements. PORSCHE, F. July 31, 1958 [Aug. 24, 1957], No. 24720/58. Classes 7(2) and 7(4) A cooling fan 7 is revoluble on the crankshaft 5 of an air-cooled engine having horizontally opposed cylinders 2, the fan 7 being driven from the crankshaft via a V-belt transmission 20, 21 having a countershaft 18 driving a dynamo 19 pivotably mounted to allow belt tensioning. Belt pulleys 9 and 17, and 16 and 11, are respectively of equal diameter to allow the use of identical belts 20, 21.
