747,387. Electron lenses. LOEWE OPTA AKT.-GES. Feb. 17, 1954 [Feb. 18, 1953]. No. 4651/54. Class 39 (1), The outer electrodes 2, 3 of a unipotential lens are made of much smaller diameter than the inner one 1, and are provided with funnel-shaped extensions 6, 7 to bring the diameter d of their inner ends nearly up to, preferably 0.7 to 0.9 of, the diameter D of the inner electrode. Apertured diaphragms 8, 9 may close the narrow ends of the funnels. The inner electrode may overlap the outer ones.
