Abstract

742,973. Bracket stoves. HARPER & CO., Ltd., J., and CROWLEY, C. Nov. 10, 1954 [Nov. 24, 1953], No. 32517/53. Class 126. A wall mounted cooking stove comprises a gas supply fitting with forwardly presented nozzles with separate taps, a member carrying the burners and pivoted so that the burners cooperate with the supply when the member is in a horizontal position, and it lies close to the wall in a stowed position, and a hinged lid which forms a shelf or drip tray in its open position. A gas manifold 13, supported by end brackets 10, carries injector nozzles 15 and supply cocks 17. A back plate 18, through which the nozzles 15 project, extends upwards to form a splash plate with side members 19 connected by a top plate 20. A grid 21 is pivoted to the brackets 10 and arms 27 pivoted to the grid carry toothed lugs 29 engaging stops 30 on the brackets 10 to hold the grid in the horizontal position. A cover plate 32, hinged to the brackets 20 below the grid, acts as a drip tray in its horizontal position Fig. 1 and is held by a spring clip 38 to close the appliance in its vertical position, Fig. 2. Two boiling rings 25 and a grill 24 are secured beneath the grid 21, and the ends of their mixing tubes 26 engage the nozzles 15 when the grid 21 is lowered. A downwardly foldable plate rack 36 is provided.
