Abstract

770,339. Grilling stoves. RADIATION, Ltd. Sept. 23, 1955. [Oct. 20, 1954], No. 30153/54. Class 126 The grill burner of a gas cooker is mounted within a semi-cylindrical housing 9, pivoted about a horizontal axis on the cooker, so that the diametral surface of the housing is uppermost and level with the cooker hotplate when the grill is not in use, and the housing forms a grill chamber mainly above the hotplate when turned through 180 degrees. In the position of use, a grill pan 12 slides beneath runners 14 through the cut-away open front of the housing 9. The runners 14 may hold the grill pan in position when the housing is inverted, when a folding handle is provided. A spring-loaded catch 18 and springs 20 on a liner in the compartment into which it is closed hold the housing 9 in either position. The burner 10 and grill frets 11 are mounted in the top of the housing, and a slot in the mixing tube 10a co-operates with an injector nozzle 16 on the splash plate of the cooker.
