Abstract
742,332. Weighing apparatus. BLAW KNOX, Ltd. July 7, 1954 [July 14, 1953], No. 19579/53. Class 143 The support of a weighing hopper is capable of angular movement in a horizontal plane from the weighing position to a discharge position, and in the weighing position actuates an hydraulic capsule to indicate weight. As shown, three storage bins 13, 14, 15 have manually controlled delivery valves 17, 18, 19 to allow material to fall into a weighing hopper 16 which is mounted on a pivoted beam 29, Fig. 2, whose other end actuates an hydraulic capsule 30. When the desired weight of materials are in the hopper 16, it may be swung horizontally about pillar 25 and its bottom opened for emptying, e.g. into a concrete mixer. One bin 15, Fig. 2, may be divided by a partition 15<SP>1</SP> into two parts each with its own delivery valve 19, 20.
