Abstract

730,161. Weighing-apparatus. STIRLING, S. E. A. Oct. 9, 1953 [Nov. 26, 1952], No. 27875/53. Class 143. Hoppers 5, 6, 7, containing sand, aggregate and cement are positioned above a conveyer belt 24 which is supported at 18 on a weighing machine. The hoppers can be opened to discharge onto the belt as desired by control rods 47 operated by ropes 49 running over pulleys 50. The speed of the conveyer belt is adjustable by handle 35. In operation, each hopper discharges in turn, and is cut off when the correct weight of the constituent is shown on dial 31, the conveyer discharging the material is a mixer. The speed of the conveyer is varied for each constituent being run more slowly for finely comminuted materials.
