Abstract

888,005. Concrete mixers. BLAW KNOX Ltd. April 23, 1959 [March 27, 1958; Aug. 12, 1958], Nos. 9850/58 and 25892/58. Class 86. [Also in Group XXX] A concrete mixer 10 has a frame 18 supporting a boom or jib 19 (which may be telescopic) hinged at 20, 21 to move about a vertical axis and carrying a cable 25 to which is attached a scraper or bucket 26 by means of which materials from the bulk 15 may be loaded into the hopper 12, which may be a weighhopper. Walls or partitions 17 may separate different grades of the bulk material which is retained by a wall 14. A shaft 16 guides the materials into the hopper 12. The entire operation may be controlled from a control panel 27 by a single operator seated at 28. In a modification, Figs. 4, 5 and 6 (not shown) the invention is applied to a mixer of the type having a pivoted loading hopper, which also may be associated with weighing apparatus.
