[Classes 78(i), 78(iii) and 78(iv)] Mixing plant comprises a framework 11 mounted on wheels 12, 13 and supporting a bin 16 for materials to be mixed, a jib 30, a skip 31 to receive materials from bin and means, e.g. rope 42 driven by motor winch 44, for elevating the skip up the jib and discharging its contents, the framework being so constructed that when in position for travelling it is disposed with the lower end 32 of the jib just clear of the ground and is adapted to be elevated with jib into operational position, in which elevated position only is there room for the movement of the skip. In the embodiment shown, Fig. 1, the skip, which may be divided to part of its depth, has outlet gate 39 with latches 40 operable to discharge contents in the discharge position; and has rollers 36 adapted to move either in a double pair of tracks 34, 35 or in a single pair of tracks (not shown) so as to deposit material in chute 38. Framework 11 in its operational position, is lifted off wheels 12, 13 by pedestals 15. Bin 16 is divided into four compartments 17, 18, 19, 20 of which the cement compartment 19 is fed from hopper 26,. Fig. 3, by screw conveyer 27, detachable bucket elevator 25, and canvas chute 29. Weighing apparatus 46 may be associated with bins 16 as shown or with skip 31 in its loading position, and is fitted with dual drop bottom gates 47 to receive material from outlets 21, 22, 23, 24 which may be closed by valves operable separately by levers (not shown) and drop into the skip. Extension 45 (against weather) telescopes into the framework. The jib 30 may be hinged at 33 so as to give ground clearance when travelling and may be hingedly or detachably jointed towards the top so as to allow reduction of height at the same time. The jib 30 may also luff or swivel.
