Abstract

760,747. Endless elevators; conveyers. READY MIXED CONCRETE, Ltd. Nov. 4, 1954 [May 12,1954], No. 13913/54. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XVIII] A power-driven bucket conveyer, with associated connecting spirals, is mounted nearvertically on a mobile loader for delivering material to a hopper, there being hydraulic means for lifting the conveyer vertically when the loader is in motion, a deflecting plate to direct surplus material to the ground, weighing apparatus for indicating the hopper load and gates beneath the hopper for controlled load releases an endless bucket elevator 33, Fig. 3, with associated connecting spirals 56, mounted to the hopper framework 13 by supports 36, can be moved vertically by an hydraulic ram 46, Fig. 4, acting through chains 49 and yokearm 47, and assisted by springs 52. Stays 40 and 41 support elevator 33 on vertical slides 39, moving in support 36. Elevator 33 delivers material to the hopper 14 over the deflector plate 60, which can be raised by string 63 to direct surplus material to the ground via baffleplate 59 when the hopper is fully loaded. The power drive to the elevator 33 and spirals 56 is by shaft 65, coupling 66, and gears 68 from the prime mover of the loader.
