Abstract

1,136,281. Concrete mixers. ELBA-WERK ETTLINGER BAUMASCHINEN-UND HEBEZEUGFABRIK G.m.b.H. 14 March, 1966 [13 March, 1965], No. 11157/66. Heading B1C. [Also in Division G1] A concrete mixing plant comprises a frame 1 on which is mounted a feeder 4, a weighing receptacle which receives aggregates from the feeder 4 and a hoist mixer 13 for mixing the aggregates with cement and water, the plant being provided with a raiseable framework 17 which comprises two pairs of supports 16, 24 carrying a supply hopper 19, one of the pairs of supports 16, when the framework 17 is in its raised position, forming a hoist track 18 along which the hoist mixer is conveyed to an elevated position II for discharge purposes. The two pairs of supports 16, 24 are pivotally connected to a transom 25 and in their working position are interconnected by a beam 27, the supports 16, 24 being pivotally and detachably connected at 43 to brackets 44 on the frame 1 so that the framework 17 can be lowered by a cable and winch arrangement from the working position to a transporting position. Devices 14, 15 are arranged on the frame 1 for metering predetermined quantities of cement and water into the hoist mixer 13 when in its lowest position on the track 18 and a drag line scraper 6 is mounted on the frame 1 for charging the feeder 4 with aggregates which are stored in areas 9 adjacent to the plant. The supply hopper 19 may comprise three separable parts 36, 37, 38 having a motor controlled discharge outlet, the hopper 19 collecting mixed concrete from the mixer 13 before discharging it to vehicles 41 below the framework 17.
