Heading B1C. [Also in Division B8] A transportable hopper for feeding the ingredients of concrete to a mixer is formed of a base plate 6 which supports pairs of twin columns 15, 16 between which planks 20 are mounted as shown to form the walls of the compartments 23 of the hopper. The separate materials from the separate compartments fall down apertures 43, 44, 45 and 46 formed in the base plate 6 and are discharged by an endless belt 7 into container 13 of mixer 3. The relative quantities of material are gauged by slides 34, 35, 36, 37 mounted on vertical wall 33. The material is fed to the apertures 43, 44, 45 and 46 by a drag scraper 28 operated by a cable 30 from the device 26 mounted to rotate on platform 24. Platform 24 is mounted on base plate 6 by means of adjustable columns 18. The whole may be mounted on a trailer for transport.
