742,088. Tool mountings. JARMA, A. July 2, 1953 [July 2, 1952], No. 18405/53. Class 83 (4). Stamping; shearing.-A quick-change device for the tools of punching, cutting, pressing and like machines is characterized in that the machine body is provided with a receiver space into which an interchangeable guide member for the tool can be slid in a direction normal to the longitudinal axis of a ram projecting into said receiver space and in which said guide member can be locked by means of a quickacting clamping device. The machine frame 1 has a receiver space 3 for reception of an interchangeable guide-member 2 which can be locked by a device 4. Projecting into the receiver space 3 is the end of a ram 5 which has an undercut slot 6 for receiving the head 11 of a punch holder 10. The guide member 2 consists of a four-sided or cylindrical block 8 formed with a bore 7 and a tubular projection 9 and serves as a guide for the punch holder and also as a stripping device. Beneath the punch 12 a slidable die 14 is adjustably secured to a slidable shoe 15 by means of an eccentric bolt 16, said shoe being mounted in a base-plate 17 adjustably secured to the machine frame. A cutting tool, e.g. a mitre cutter 20, Fig. 9, or a plate or like cutting member, may be introduced into the machine in similar fashion.
