Abstract
741,680. Anchor-bolts; nails &c. LIN. SINGEN, M. VON, [trading as BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO.]. April 9, 1953 [April 10, 1952], No. 9675/53. Classes 89 (1) and 89 (2). [Also in Group X] An arch &c. for supporting mine galleries is supported by tie bolts 2 driven into the earth and formed at the head with hooks 3 on split clamps so that the arch may be moved longitudinally and may be engaged with the heads after the tie bolts have been driven. The tie bolts may be the split tail type with or without an expanding wedge in the split tail or of the type having a socket expanded by a wedge actuated by rotation of the bolt. Lagging 4 is placed between the arch and the roof and wedges are driven between any of these parts to tighten the arch in position.
