Abstract

963,402. Rock stabilization. SKANSKA CEMENTGJUTERIET A.B. Feb. 28, 1961 [March 4, 1960], No. 7370/61. Heading E1F. The newly exposed roof formed on blasting the head of a tunnel is stabilized by being coated with cement before the rubble freed from the head by the explosion is removed. One or more coatings of cement can be applied to the roof, the first coating preferably being a quick setting cement. The cement can be applied by the apparatus of the referred Specification 963,403.
