739,667. Vibratory mechanism. LOSENHAUSENWERK DUSSELDORFER MASCHINENBAU AKT.-GES. March 23, 1954, No. 8419/54. Class 80 (4). A vibrator 6 comprising an electric motor on whose shaft unbalancing members are fitted, is swingably mounted on a non-rotatable shaft 3 through roller bearings 5 so that directional vibrations are transmitted to a screwing-on plate 1 of the unit, the transverse vibrations being absorbed by the swinging movements, and according to the invention the swinging movements are resiliently controlled by two rubber rings 7 which are vulcanized to inner and outer steel rings respectively keyed to the stationary shaft 3 and clamped to attachments 10 carrying the vibrator. The shaft 3 is adjustably clamped by screws 4 to the plate 1 so that the direction of the vibrations transmitted to the plate may be varied. It is stated that the rubber rings 7 may be replaced by a rubber tube on the shaft 3 or by rubber members between the bearings.
